Colombia: President De La Espriella announces cultural initiatives

Colombian President Abelardo De La Espriella has addressed the nation regarding themes of dignity and sovereignty. His administration is currently promoting a “cultural counter-revolution” through the Ministry of Culture.

In a related administrative move, Camilo Noguera, the current Vice Minister of Higher Education, is set to become the new director of the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH). Noguera, a specialist in humanities and bioethics, has had his credentials published by the Presidency as part of the official appointment process.
