Colombian artisans showcase cultural heritage in Paris
Colombian artisans and designers showcased traditional heritage and creative talent in Paris as part of the ‘Territorios Vivos París 2026’ initiative. The program, organized by Asodamas, aimed to project Colombian cultural heritage and female leadership on an international stage during Paris Fashion Week.
María Stella Cabrera Erazo, a master artisan from Sandoná, Nariño, received the ‘Maître Artisan ou Designer – Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat Île-de-France’ distinction for her excellence in ancestral arts and crafts. Her work, supported by SENA and Fondo Emprender, connects traditional knowledge with economic entrepreneurship.
Representing Valledupar, designer Lina Guerra and artisan Claudia Matiz participated in an international runway show. The delegation also received certification in the international course ‘Desarrollo Territorial con Enfoque de Género’ (Territorial Development with a Gender Approach) at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, following academic exchanges involving Creative Europe and the Sorbonne University.
