Colombian artists launch initiatives to rebuild homes for disaster victims

Musicians Juan Luis Guerra and Juanes have partnered for the ‘Marea Viva’ initiative, a social project aimed at constructing sustainable housing for vulnerable families in the Chocó department of Colombia. The project seeks to provide long-term recovery and improved living conditions for communities facing significant hardships.

In a separate effort to support earthquake victims in Colombia, the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano is hosting a solidarity concert titled ‘Colombia se levanta’ on August 28 in Bogotá. The event will feature artists including Jorge Villamizar, Herencia de Timbiquí, Mauricio y Palodeagua, and university talents. All proceeds from ticket sales will be dedicated to rebuilding homes for families who lost everything in the disaster.
