Colombian drug dealers jailed for trafficking near schools in Pasto

Three men—Miguel Alexander Santacruz Portilla, Carlos Andrés Moncayo Pinta and Wilderson Isaac Escalona Martínez—were sentenced to prison by the Fiscalía General of Colombia after being linked to a micro‑trafficking network in Pasto, Nariño. The investigation, conducted by the Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación, found that since January 2026 the suspects sold marijuana, bazuco and Tucibi (a pink cocaine variant) through street sales and home delivery, targeting locations such as schools, health centers, parks, sports venues and commercial areas in communes 2 and 5.

Authorities seized two properties used as storage and distribution hubs, carried out raids in the El Progreso and Potrerillo neighborhoods, and captured the three defendants. In the subsequent court hearings the accused did not accept the charges of manufacturing, trafficking or possession of illicit drugs.
