Colombian Government Launches Technical Transition Phase for Upcoming Administration

The Government of Colombia has opened the technical stage of the institutional transition ahead of the change of administration. Technical teams and specialized sub‑committees are being installed across ministries and administrative departments to carry out the statutory "empalme" process.

These groups will compile and exchange detailed information on finances, budgets, contracts, ongoing projects, risks and legal matters so that the incoming administration receives a complete overview and can assume duties without disrupting public services or program delivery.
