Colombian police capture thieves and drug traffickers in operations in Pasto and El Cerrito

In Pasto, the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) carried out a series of operations under the "Plan Cazador" that led to the capture of two women suspected of theft. The women were arrested in the El Potrerillo sector after allegedly snatching a wallet, and police recovered a stolen motorcycle taken in June and a stolen automobile originally reported from Cali. Both suspects were placed under the jurisdiction of the prosecutor’s office.

In El Cerrito, Valle del Cauca, a coordinated police action involving SIJIN and the Special Operations Group (GOES) resulted in the arrest of two alleged micro‑trafficking facilitators, known as “La Firma” and “Mayerly.” The raids in the Coincer and Teatrino neighborhoods seized three firearms and more than two kilograms of drugs, including 625 g of marijuana and 1,468 g of cocaine. The detainees were ordered to remain in custody pending trial.
