Colombia's Saber 11 Exam Secured in Montería and Tunja

In Montería, mayor Hugo Kerguelen García announced that, in the two weeks before the Saber 11 examinations, municipal authorities together with the National Police will enforce a ban on pick‑up trucks and any noisy activity near schools to ensure a quiet environment for students. He said, "No vamos a permitir pick‑ups ni ningún tipo de ruido que afecte el desarrollo de la jornada".

In Tunja, the Boyacá Education Secretary Marcela Blanco confirmed that coordination among the department of education, the National Registry, electoral commissions and ICFES guarantees that the Saber 11 test on 26 July will not conflict with the municipal mayoral election. She added, "Queremos informar a la comunidad que ya se tomaron todas las decisiones por parte del departamento" and noted that technical tables have adjusted logistics to keep the exam and voting processes independent.
