Global initiatives launch for entrepreneurship and professional training

Various regional and international initiatives are launching programs to support entrepreneurship, professional training, and community recognition.

In Tenerife, the ‘Segunda Oportunidad’ program aims to boost youth employability through practical training in sustainable agriculture and heritage rehabilitation. In Chile, Edelaysen has opened applications for the 12th ‘Mujeres con Energía’ Academy to support female-led businesses in the Aysén region. Additionally, Sercotec is offering ‘Capital Semilla MODO EMPLEO’ grants in Chile to help new entrepreneurs.

In Mexico, the Ayuntamiento de Soledad is concluding its call for the ‘Soledense Distinguido’ awards to honor citizens contributing to community welfare. In Villa de Álvarez, Mayor Tey Gutiérrez Andrade recognized over 470 cultural agents for their work in summer programs.

In the business and media sectors, ueno bank and itti will award up to USD 30,000 to startup finalists during the Moonshot Demo Day in Paraguay. EY has opened nominations for its ‘Empresa destacada en criterios ASG’ award in Chile, focusing on environmental, social, and governance excellence. Meanwhile, the XIV International Journalism Prize has announced its finalists, and the Agencia EFE and Fundación la Caixa have launched their 22nd edition of journalism scholarships.
