Global entrepreneurship and professional training programs

Overview

Global entrepreneurship and professional training programs continue to expand through regional and international initiatives. In Valencia, Spain, the fourth edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC) has selected startups from 12 countries to present innovations in sectors such as the blue economy, energy transition, and supply chain efficiency.

In Chile, acceleration and gender-focused programs are gaining momentum. Start-Up Chile’s BIG 12 acceleration program in Santiago provides 65 entrepreneurs from Latin America and Europe with mentorship and up to $75 million in co-financing. Regional efforts increasingly prioritize female economic autonomy. In the Antofagasta region, 65 women completed the second phase of the ‘Mujer Emprende’ program, while the ‘Mujeres Gásfiter’ program in the Maule region provides training in sanitary plumbing. Additionally, Terminal Pacífico Sur (TPS) Valparaíso has launched a professional Class A5 driving course for ten women to operate heavy trucks in the logistics sector. SernamEG has also distributed funding through the ‘Modo Empleo’ plan, awarding 60 million pesos to 12 collective projects in Maule and 15 million pesos to three projects in the Magallanes region.

In Peru, the ‘Inspirando a futuras líderes’ mentorship program, a partnership between Atlas Copco and the Mining Technology Center (CETEMIN), provides ten students with eight months of strategic guidance. In Guatemala, Fundación Bi’s ScaleUp program recently celebrated its eighth cohort, while Pradera shopping centers launched ‘ChiquitiEmprende’ for children. In Honduras, the ‘Fundación Terra te Impulsa-Emprende Pronto’ award supports entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sectors.

In Bolivia, the Indigenous Women of the Amazon Program is accepting applications until October 25 for bioeconomy scholarships. Recognition for gender-focused development continues in the Biobío Region, where the ‘Biobío Emprende con Camanchaca’ initiative received a silver award at the 2026 Eikon Awards.
