The stricter rules ban all fires on public and private lands, forbid personal fireworks, and limit open‑flame tools, while permitting gas‑fueled appliances used with caution. Violators face a $1,000 fine per offense. Both counties cite persistent severe fire conditions and aim to protect lives, property, and natural resources as the region faces elevated wildfire risk.
