Colorado primaries decide Democratic and Republican contenders for 2nd and 3rd Congressional districts

The Vail Daily surveyed the Democratic candidates for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District—Alex Kelloff and Dwyane Romero—about key local concerns such as affordable housing, rural healthcare, workforce housing, and immigration policy. Both emphasized traveling the district to listen to constituents and proposed federal support for rural infrastructure and a more humane immigration system.

The newspaper also interviewed the Republican hopefuls for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District—Kelley Anne Dennison and Christina Blunt—who focused on the affordability crisis, immigration enforcement, and tariff‑based revenue. They called for legislation to curb federal spending, strengthen border security, and restructure aid to other countries.

Both primaries are scheduled for June 30, determining the party nominees for the respective districts.
