ColornoPhotoLife 2026 to feature Monika Bulaj exhibition

The 17th edition of the ColornoPhotoLife festival is scheduled to take place from September 25 to November 8, 2026, in Colorno, Italy. Held at the Aranciaia and the Reggia di Colorno, the festival will focus on the theme ‘L’infinito viaggiare, geografie dell’alterità’.

Fujifilm Italia has joined the event as a technical sponsor and produced the festival's main exhibition, ‘Mosaico Europa’, by photographer and documentarian Monika Bulaj. Curated by Ascanio Kurkumelis, the exhibition features 80 large-format photographs taken between 1988 and the present, including previously unpublished works. The images explore sacred practices, rituals, and religious polarities among minority communities across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

The exhibition is part of the ‘Broken Songlines’ research project, supported by the Ministry of Culture’s Strategia Fotografia 2025 and involving the Polish Institute in Rome. In addition to the main exhibition, the festival will include 15 exhibition projects, workshops, masterclasses, projections, and editorial presentations.
