Colpensiones extends office hours amid platform outages and modernization work
Users of Colombia's public pension system, Colpensiones, reported recent platform outages. President Jaime Dussán explained that the interruptions are caused by a nine‑month technological modernization effort aimed at improving security, integrity and traceability of pension data. He emphasized that the issues are not linked to the recent governmental transition.
To compensate users, all 81 Colpensiones offices nationwide will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday July 11, Sunday July 12 and Monday July 13, with Dussán and his senior team attending the central office. The agency’s equipment has been relocated from Bogotá to Tocancipá, with an alternate site in Cali. The platform is expected to stabilize from Friday July 10, and the deadline for transfers between AFPs and Colpensiones remains July 16 per the Constitutional Court.
