Ravello and Comacchio roll out summer water and health safeguards
The municipality of Ravello on Italy’s Amalfi Coast warned residents and tourists to limit non‑essential water use as a leak on the “Costiera Amalfitana” supply line could cause pressure drops from 23:30 on 30 June until 09:00 on 1 July in several districts. Mayor Paolo Vuilleumier said, “To prevent potential supply problems and guarantee a constant service it is essential to adopt daily habits based on saving and responsibility.”
In the Emilia‑Romagna town of Comacchio, local authorities expanded medical support for the summer season on the coastal Lidi. The CAU (Centro Assistenza Urgenza) will remain open 08:00‑20:00, with an evening continuity clinic operating 20:00‑24:00 from 1 July to 31 August. A Tourist Medical Guard service runs from 27 June to 30 August at three beach locations, offering free assistance to Italian residents and a €25 fee to others. Additional BLSD ambulances and an enhanced 118 emergency presence will be available throughout the period.
