Comano Terme authorities identify 265 people at illegal rave

Authorities identified 265 individuals during an unauthorized rave held in a forested area in Bondone, within the municipality of Comano Terme, over the weekend of September 12-13. The event, which drew participants from across Northern Italy, involved convoys of vehicles, generators, and loud music that echoed through the valley.

Carabinieri units from several stations, including Riva del Garda, monitored the gathering to manage containment and filtration. The operation resulted in one arrest for illegal possession of narcotics after a woman was found with 41 doses of ecstasy and a block of hashish. Police also seized doses of cocaine and ketamine. Additionally, approximately 45 fines were issued for various traffic code violations.

Local officials noted that such unauthorized gatherings have become a recurring issue in the region. Comano Terme, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its biodiversity and spa tourism, has faced similar incidents in recent months. Mayor Fabio Zambotti emphasized that these unpermitted events are unacceptable.
