Unauthorized events and public disturbances in Italy

During the weekend of September 12-13, 2026, Italian authorities conducted multiple operations to address unauthorized gatherings and public disturbances across different regions.

In Comano Terme, Carabinieri units intervened at an illegal rave in a forested area of Bondone. The event involved 265 identified individuals and resulted in one arrest for illegal possession of narcotics, including ecstasy and hashish, as well as the seizure of cocaine and ketamine. Local officials noted that such unpermitted events have become a recurring issue in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

In Milan, police conducted raids in the Affori area following reports of noise and disorder. Authorities discovered an unauthorized dance event at an association headquarters, leading to 65 identifications and the detention of two individuals. The premises were sealed, and a 5,000 euro fine was issued. Concurrently, residents in other parts of the city reported disturbances involving blocked intersections and street occupations, expressing frustration over perceived gaps in police intervention.
