Comedian Broda Shaggi details recovery from stray bullet injury

Nollywood comedian Samuel Perry, known professionally as Broda Shaggi, has shared details regarding his recovery from a stray bullet injury sustained in March 2026. The incident occurred while he was conducting a brand activation assignment near the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State.

Shaggi reported that he lost consciousness following the shooting and was transported to hospitals in Lagos for treatment. The injury caused a seven-month absence from his professional activities, leading to significant emotional strain and fears regarding his physical ability to perform his signature dancing and drumming routines. He also expressed concerns that the hiatus might cause fans to forget his work.

During his recovery, the comedian attempted to remain productive by writing scripts and starting a YouTube series. The Lagos State Police Command previously confirmed they were alerted to a gunshot victim identified as the performer following the incident.
