Community cleaning initiatives organized in Squillace and Cerignola

Various community-led environmental initiatives are taking place in Italy to improve local cleanliness and civic awareness.

In Squillace, the municipal administration has organized a collective cleaning day focused on the road leading to the Madonna del Ponte Sanctuary. Citizens, volunteers, and local businesses are participating to remove pine needles, plastic, and abandoned waste from the roadside ditches to restore the area's decorum.

In Cerignola, employees from a local McDonald’s participated in a national anti-littering project by cleaning Piazza Plebiscito. Volunteers collected dozens of kilograms of waste, including packaging, plastic bottles, and cigarette butts, from sidewalks and flowerbeds to promote respect for public spaces.
