Community events scheduled for Thionville and Verdun in September 2026

Several community events are scheduled in France for September 2026. In Thionville, the 40e Régiment de Transmissions will host an open house on September 26 at the Quartier Jeanne d’Arc. The event will feature tactical maneuvers, equipment demonstrations including drones and vehicles, and activities for children. On September 27, the 5th Liberty Color Run will take place in Thionville and along the Moselle. Proceeds from the weekend's raffle and the run will benefit Terre Fraternité – ADO, an organization supporting wounded army personnel and their families.

In the Meuse department, the 45th Verdun National Fair will be held from September 9 to 13 at the Pré-l’Évêque leisure base. Organized by Verdun Expo Meuse, the event expects approximately 45,000 visitors and will host 450 exhibitors. The fair will include a 15,000 m² agricultural and livestock area, an artisan space, and a children's fairground. Musical performances are scheduled for September 10 and 11, featuring artists such as Kamini, Helmut Fritz, and Keen’V.
