Community events scheduled in Faro and Abrantes

Various community events are scheduled across Portugal. In Faro, the municipality is hosting the first edition of the ‘Festa da Motricidade Infantil’ at the Faro Athletics Track from June 11 to 19. The initiative involves over 2,500 students from local school clusters to promote motor skills, coordination, and active lifestyle habits through projects such as ‘Crescer Ativo’, ‘Saber Correr, Saltar e Lançar’, and ‘Saber Pedalar’.

In Abrantes, the ‘Festival ao Alto’ will return to the Jardim do Alto de Santo António on September 4 and 5. The event features musical performances by artists including Bia Caboz and NAPA, street animation, and gastronomy. The 2026 edition will introduce a tennis tournament organized by the Clube de Ténis de Abrantes and will maintain its ‘Ecoevento’ status by implementing environmental impact reduction measures.
