Overview

In the Alcácer do Sal region, the Artes & Caça event in Casebres (29–30 August) focused on rural traditions, while Penafiel hosted Brazilian artist MC Kevinho at the AGRIVAL event. Looking toward September, Tomar will host the Círio de Nossa Senhora da Piedade (12–13 September), and Santarém will hold the 65th Festival Celestino Graça (1–6 September). The latter, organized by the Grupo Académico de Danças Ribatejanas, aims to showcase musical instruments through the ‘Sons Autóctones – Sons da Memória’ project while addressing concerns regarding public investment in ethnographic heritage.
