Community health events scheduled in Germany for dementia and elderly care

Several community health information events are scheduled in Germany to support aging populations and those affected by chronic conditions.

In Tönisvorst, the Evangelical Parish of St. Tönis, in cooperation with the Gerontopsychiatric Counseling Center of the LVR-Klinik Viersen, is hosting a dementia information afternoon. Scheduled for October 7, 2026, the event features a lecture by Katharina Klug focusing on dementia diagnostics, practical support, and coping mechanisms for patients and caregivers. The session aims to provide guidance on regional aid and daily management of the disease.

Additionally, the VdK local association of Neuenhaßlau-Gondsroth will host an event titled ‘Rediscovering Quality of Life Despite Age’ on October 29, 2026. Led by coach Leja Rosenthal, the session will focus on holistic health, prevention, and maintaining self-determined living through cellular fitness and healthy lifestyle practices.
