Community initiatives launch to promote addiction prevention
Community initiatives and educational programs are being implemented to address addiction and mental health. In Selva, Argentina, the Grupo Oasis from Ceres held an open talk at the Professional Training School No. 11. The event, organized by the Addiction Pastoral of the Diocese of Rafaela, focused on creating spaces for listening and support to address problematic consumption within the community.
Additionally, the Salesian National Team for Prevention and Problematic Consumption (ENSa) is organizing a virtual seminar titled ‘Preventing Addictive Behaviors: Realities and Possibilities’. Led by Father Fernando Cervera, SJ, the session aims to provide tools for prevention and explore the link between addiction and mental health. This initiative is part of a broader month-long awareness campaign for mental health.
