Polish Community Centers Foster Senior Activity and Social Integration

The Środowiskowy Dom Samopomocy in Słubice organized programs focused on movement, smiles and integration for local residents, aiming to strengthen community bonds.

In the neighbouring region, the Gmina Gołuchów completed the "Senior z Pasją" project, a ten‑month initiative that offered dance, aqua‑aerobics, art workshops, first‑aid training and a day‑trip to Wrocław for people aged 60 and over. The programme engaged 50 participants, received €112,129.50 (≈ 89,704 zł) of EU funding, and sought to reduce loneliness and social exclusion among seniors.
