Community organizations provide aid in Togo and Senegal
Various community organizations in Togo and Senegal are launching initiatives to support education, sanitation, and legal rights for disadvantaged populations.
In Togo, the Association des couturières et tailleurs de Vakpossito (ACTAV), in partnership with the Horizon 2000 Conglomerate and the Agoè-Nyivé 3 municipality, provided school kits and uniforms to 110 students in the Agoè-Nyivé regions. Additionally, in the Savanes region, the Association pour l’éveil des consciences et la promotion des vacances utiles (AECPVU) provided 192 children with birth certificates and legal documents to ensure they can register for primary school exams. In the Zio commune, the Association Dzidzo completed the installation of 44 family latrines in the Gapé-Kpodzi and Gapé-Centre cantons to improve hygiene and reduce waterborne diseases.
In Senegal, the Association d’appui à l’éducation, à l’enfance et à la santé (ADEES) distributed school supplies, pedagogical materials, and sports equipment to schools in the Ngaye Mékhé commune. The distribution included items such as notebooks, football and basketball kits, and first aid kits to assist families ahead of the new school year.
