Community programs launch to support adolescent mental health and family education
Various community initiatives are being launched to support adolescent mental health and family education. In Monje, Argentina, the local commune and Punto Violeta are organizing a seminar titled “How to Accompany?” scheduled for September 25. The event aims to provide tools for families, educators, and community leaders to navigate adolescent development, focusing on intergenerational communication and identifying risk factors such as panic attacks, self-harm, and problematic substance or screen use.
In Spain, the Alpedrete City Council and the THAM Mancomunidad are offering free online sessions for families throughout September and October 2026. These workshops focus on child and adolescent development, including a specific session on “Growing Among Algorithms,” which addresses the impact of artificial intelligence on youth and strategies for fostering responsible and healthy technology use.
