Community social events for seniors held in Haßfurt and Wirtheim

Community events for seniors are being held in Haßfurt and Wirtheim to promote social interaction and combat loneliness.

In Haßfurt, the Mehrgenerationenhaus hosted a music coffee event on September 21. Featuring live music by Richard Gerber, also known as ‘Pratscher’, the gathering brought together seniors, people with disabilities, and caregivers. The event aimed to foster community and provide a space for social participation through music and shared conversation.

In Wirtheim, the ‘Wirtheimer Kaffeeklatsch’ is scheduled for October 7 at the Bürgertreff in the old fire station. The event will feature seasonal culinary offerings and a historical photo presentation from the personal archive of Karl-Heinz Dietrich. Organized under the principle of ‘from seniors for seniors’, the gathering encourages local elderly residents to connect and share memories.
