Community tree-planting events held in Chile and Bolivia

Community environmental initiatives were held in Chile and Bolivia to commemorate national environmental holidays.

In Punta Arenas, Chile, the Agrupación Ecológica de la Patagonia organized a planting event for 40 lenga trees to mark National Environment Day. The initiative, held at Avenida Frei with Los Generales, involved local children from the Escuela Villa Las Nieves and received tree donations from the Municipality of Punta Arenas. The event highlighted ongoing collaboration between environmental groups and the private sector, specifically noting a partnership with Aguas Magallanes.

In Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, the municipal government organized an arborization day at the Unidad Educativa 23 de Marzo A to celebrate National Tree Day. Students, teachers, and local officials planted native species to promote environmental conservation and combat issues such as deforestation and forest fires.
