Community wellness events promote menopause awareness in Australia and the UK

Community events in Australia and the United Kingdom are focusing on menopause awareness and support through specialized workshops and retreats.

In Armidale, Australia, the Country Women’s Association (CWA) Armidale Branch, sponsored by the Armidale Regional Council, is hosting a free community event titled ‘Menopause to MenoPeak’. The event features five local health professionals, including medical doctor Dr Mandana Arshi, to discuss perimenopause, menopause, and long-term health. The program includes insights from specialists in yoga, mindfulness, pelvic floor physiotherapy, psychology, and sexual health.

In Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom, the menopause nutrition brand Peachie is hosting a wellness retreat at Newgale Beach to coincide with World Menopause Day. The event includes sessions on nutrition led by registered nutritionist Ellen Picton, workshops by menopause coach Karen Gibbard, and restorative activities such as yoga and cold-water swimming. The retreat aims to provide practical support and foster community among women experiencing hormonal changes.
