Commvault enhances cyber resilience with Google intelligence and Azure updates
Commvault has announced several updates to its data resilience and recovery capabilities, focusing on enhanced threat intelligence and expanded cloud support.
Through a new integration with Google Threat Intelligence, Commvault is incorporating Mandiant and VirusTotal data into its Threat Scan workflows. This collaboration aims to help enterprises identify clean recovery points more quickly following cyberattacks by providing actionable context for detected threats and scanning protected workloads for malware.
Additionally, Commvault has expanded the coverage of its Cloud Rewind solution for Microsoft Azure. The update triples the number of protected Azure resource types, now covering 62 percent of market-relevant resources. The tool is designed to automate the recovery of cloud-native and AI-powered applications by mapping application dependencies and managing infrastructure, configurations, and applications through a centralized platform. The expansion also includes the introduction of Protection Groups, which combine application data and cloud configurations into a single, air-gapped recovery process.
