Como authorities arrest woman with cocaine at Swiss border

An Albanian woman was arrested at the Bizzarone road crossing while attempting to enter Switzerland with 54 grams of cocaine hidden in a rental car. The seizure occurred during routine checks by the Guardia di Finanza along the Italian-Swiss border.

Following the discovery of the narcotics by a drug-sniffing dog, the woman was taken to the Court of Como. She has pleaded guilty and received a sentence of 1 year and 10 months in prison, a 4,000 euro fine, and an immediate expulsion from Italy.
