Lake Como launches creativity week and new film industry district

The Lake Como region is expanding its cultural and industrial footprint through two major initiatives. The Lake Como Creativity Week 2026, themed ‘Threads of Creation’, will take place from September 28 to October 4. Promoted by the Municipality of Como and the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, the event features a wide array of exhibitions, workshops, and concerts spanning design, textile arts, music, and innovation across various municipalities including Como, Cantù, and Cernobbio.

Simultaneously, the Lake Como Film Industry association has been launched to establish a sustainable audiovisual district in the Lecco and Como provinces. Aiming to unify fragmented professional talents—including technicians, authors, and producers—the association seeks to transform the local landscape into a structured cultural system. Supported by the Lombardy Film Commission, the initiative focuses on providing masterclasses, artistic residencies, and professional networking to foster regional economic development.
