Compile Heart announces Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 for 2027

Compile Heart has announced the upcoming release of ‘Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2’, the latest installment in the popular RPG-style board game series. Developed by Sting, the game is scheduled for a simultaneous worldwide release in summer 2027 on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and the successor to the Nintendo Switch.

The series is known for its ‘friendship-destroying’ gameplay, where players compete to become the wealthiest by defeating monsters, saving villages, or using ‘dirty’ tactics such as robbing other players and shops. New features in this sequel include character customization and ‘Great Co-op Battles’ against massive Giga Monsters, where players must decide whether to share or monopolize the rewards.

The announcement was made during the ‘gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show’ in Bangkok. The game will support multiple languages, including Japanese, English, Thai, and Chinese. Steam wishlists are currently open for the title.
