Comprest introduces new sanitation vehicle in Brașov

Comprest, the sanitation operator in Brașov, has introduced a new MAN Euro 6 specialized vehicle to its fleet for the washing and sanitization of waste containers and bins. This addition follows the earlier acquisition of six Volvo compactor trucks as part of an ongoing program to modernize the city's waste collection and sanitation equipment.

The new vehicle is designed to clean bins ranging from 120 to 1,100 liters. It features a complete washing cycle that lasts approximately four minutes and is equipped with detergent and anti-limescale reservoirs, a boiler capable of heating water to 120°C, and a high-pressure washing system for cleaning collection platforms.

In addition to cleaning the containers, the vehicle will sanitize the areas surrounding waste collection points to prevent littering caused by individuals scavenging through bins. Local authorities have noted that these operations may cause brief access restrictions to certain streets, parking areas, or collection platforms during the cleaning process.
