Comprest SA waste management fleet modernization
Overview
Comprest SA, the waste management operator in Brașov, Romania, has initiated a fleet modernization program to improve service efficiency and environmental impact.
The process began with the acquisition of six Volvo specialized vehicles, including five compactors and a mechanized sweeper. This was followed by the introduction of a MAN Euro 6 specialized vehicle dedicated to the washing and sanitization of waste containers and bins. This new equipment features a high-pressure washing system and a boiler capable of heating water to 120°C to clean bins ranging from 120 to 1,100 liters.
In addition to cleaning containers, the new sanitation vehicle is intended to clean areas around collection points to prevent littering. Local authorities have indicated that these cleaning operations may result in temporary access restrictions to certain streets and parking areas.
