Comunitat Valenciana experiences intense heat and rising temperatures

The Valencian Community is experiencing a significant rise in temperatures, with intense heat affecting the interior and pre-coastal regions. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), maximum temperatures have climbed significantly, reaching 36.5 degrees Celsius in Utiel, which marked the highest official temperature in the province of Valencia.

In other areas, Zarra recorded 34.6 degrees, while Villena in Alicante reached 34 degrees and Atzeneta del Maestrat in Castellón hit 33.5 degrees. A yellow weather alert was activated for the northern interior of Valencia due to temperatures expected to exceed 36 degrees, signaling a low risk but advising caution for vulnerable populations.

In the provincial capitals, temperatures remained more moderate but still reflected summer conditions: Castellón reached 30.1 degrees, Valencia 29.8 degrees, and Alicante 31.7 degrees. Forecasts suggest that heat will remain a dominant factor in the interior, with Saturday expected to remain hot, though a slight decrease in maximum temperatures may occur in some inland areas.
