CONAF Tarapacá hosts photography exhibition celebrating 100 years of Chilean conservation

CONAF Tarapacá is hosting a photographic exhibition at the Geoglifos de Pintados Site Museum to commemorate 100 years of conservation in Chile. The exhibition, which remains open to the public until September 13, connects the landscapes of southern and northern Chile.

The display features images from the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park—Chile’s oldest national park, established in 1926—alongside records from three protected areas in the Tarapacá region: Volcán Isluga National Park, Pampa del Tamarugal National Reserve, and Salar del Huasco National Reserve.

According to Víctor Quezada, the regional director of CONAF Tarapacá, the exhibition aims to help the public value and understand the importance of conserving diverse ecosystems, including high Andean fauna, wetlands, salt flats, and volcanic landscapes.
