Conalep Chihuahua announces labor benefits and student welfare programs

Conalep Chihuahua and the Single Union of Conalep Workers (Sutconalep) have formalized a comprehensive agreement to improve working conditions and benefits for over 130 unionized administrative staff members. The agreement, signed by Director General Omar Bazán Flores and Union Secretary General Carlos Tirso Robles Ostos, includes an increase in salary benefits and 10 additional days of recess to be distributed during end-of-cycle and year-end vacations. These provisions are set to take effect in January 2027.

In addition to labor improvements, the institution is launching a socio-emotional care program for its approximately 13,000 students. Managed through the institution's Human Development Center, the initiative focuses on risk detection, suicide prevention, mental health promotion, and crisis intervention. The program aims to involve families through workshops on communication and active listening, while utilizing technology such as video calls to provide guidance across various campuses.
