Conca d'Oro shopping center in Palermo nears partial reopening
The Conca d'Oro shopping center in Palermo is moving toward a partial reopening, with at least 60% of its spaces expected to become operational following a severe fire. This progress concerns the “white zone,” where a progressive reopening of premises to operators is being organized.
According to a joint note from the Filcams Cgil Palermo, Fisascat Cisl Palermo, and Uiltucs Sicilia unions, the details were discussed during a technical inter-institutional meeting held at the regional department for productive activities. While no official dates have been set, further details may be established during the next technical meeting scheduled for September 28.
The “red zone,” comprising approximately 30% of the complex, remains in a more critical state due to extensive fire damage and will require more significant interventions and longer recovery times. Irfis has expressed availability to define economic support measures for companies located in the red zone to mitigate employment consequences.
