Jorge Enrique Martí centenary celebrated in Entre Ríos

Concepción del Uruguay and surrounding towns in Entre Ríos are hosting a week-long series of events to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Jorge Enrique Martí, a prominent writer, journalist, and cultural manager. The celebrations, running from September 8 to September 14, include activities in Colón, Pueblo Liebig, San José, and Villa Elisa.

The program features academic conferences, poetry recitals, documentary screenings, and musical performances. Key events include exhibitions on Martí’s literary work, discussions regarding his journalistic career, and a documentary produced by TV UNER. Musical tributes are scheduled to conclude the festivities, featuring artists such as the Atahualpa Puchulu Trío and Marita Londra.

During the opening ceremonies, local officials and Martí’s family members gathered to honor his legacy and his contributions to the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos (UNER) and various regional publications.
