Concepción del Uruguay extends deadline for “Desde la Memoria” video projects

Organizers of the “Desde la Memoria” program have extended the deadline for submitting video projects until October 21. The initiative, led by the Human Rights Directorate and the Culture Coordination of the Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay alongside AGMER Uruguay, seeks to promote artistic productions related to memory and human rights.

This year's call is dedicated to Claudio “Pocho” Lepratti, marking 25 years since his assassination in December. The program invites primary and secondary school students, as well as the general community, to create “videominutos” exploring his life, activism, and legacy.

A jury will select five works from each category—primary, secondary, and open—with the possibility of special mentions. Selected productions will be shared on social media and screened at the “Carlos María Scelzi” Municipal Auditorium. Additionally, the works will be included in a digital repository to serve as educational material in schools, using art as a tool to preserve collective memory.
