Concred congress gathers 5,000 participants to discuss financial cooperativism
The 16th Brazilian Credit Cooperativism Congress (Concred) took place in Goiânia from August 26 to 28. Organized by Sistema OCB/GO and the Confederation of Brazilian Credit Cooperatives (Confebras), the event gathered approximately 5,000 participants to discuss the future of financial cooperativism.
Under the theme “Financial Cooperativism: in the field and in the city, together in building a sustainable future,” the congress addressed strategic topics including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, governance, and sustainability. Discussions focused on the sector's role in promoting economic and social development, financial inclusion, and supporting entrepreneurship in both urban and rural areas.
Key institutional participants included Sicredi Sudoeste and Cresol. Cresol brought over 150 leaders to the event, participating in debates regarding the forces shaping the sector through 2030 and the expansion of insurance cooperativism. The event also featured the launch of a guide regarding the relationship between credit cooperatives and municipal public entities.
