Confindustria Dispositivi Medici seeks structural funding for home care

Confindustria Dispositivi Medici is calling for structural funding to sustain home care services in Italy following the conclusion of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) funding cycle. Under the ‘Casa come primo luogo di cura’ initiative, approximately 2.97 billion euros were allocated to home care.

Monitoring by AGENAS shows that the national target was exceeded, with 1,625,785 people receiving home care services in 2025, representing 115.2% of the original goal. This means 11.3% of Italians over the age of 65 received at least one home care service. Filippo Lintas, President of the Home&Digital Care association, emphasized that while these results are significant, the transition from extraordinary PNRR resources to stable, structural funding in the next Budget Law is essential to ensure continuity of care and reduce regional disparities.
