Confindustria Dispositivi Medici signs medical device training pact

Confindustria Dispositivi Medici and nine ITS Academy foundations have signed a three-year framework agreement to bridge the skills gap in Italy’s medical device sector. The agreement involves academies located in Piedmont, Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Lazio, Puglia, Calabria, and Sicily.

Signed in Palermo during the ‘Biomed & Biotech’ event, the initiative aims to align educational curricula with industry needs through digital, ecological, and regulatory transitions. Key components of the plan include the creation of a joint observatory to monitor evolving workforce requirements, the co-design of study programs by companies, and enhanced placement opportunities through internships and apprenticeships. The partnership also focuses on applied research and technology transfer.
