Công an TP. HCM defeats Hà Nội FC 3-1 in V-League opener

The opening round of the 2026-2027 V-League season featured a significant match between Công an TP. HCM and Hà Nội FC. Playing at the Gò Đậu Stadium, Công an TP. HCM secured a 3-1 victory over the visitors.

Nguyễn Tiến Linh opened the scoring for the home side in the 26th minute with a header following a cross from Trần Lenn Minh Quang. Nguyễn Thái Quốc Cường extended the lead to 2-0 in the second half. Although Andrew Jung managed to pull one back for Hà Nội FC in the 65th minute, Jason Cummings sealed the win for Công an TP. HCM with a goal in the 82nd minute.
