The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of conspiring with foreign-based organisations to incite anarchy and pursue regime change in India. Citing a Fox News Digital investigation, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged that a network of 101 organisations across nine countries is involved in coordinating and amplifying international protests.

Bhatia and other BJP leaders specifically named Progressive International and the France-based Indian Alliance Paris, alleging these groups coordinate messaging to destabilise democratically elected governments. The BJP further alleged that Rahul and Sonia Gandhi met with representatives of Progressive International in April 2025. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also called for an investigation into Gandhi’s numerous foreign visits, suggesting potential links to foreign interests.

The Congress party has rejected these allegations, characterizing them as attempts to deflect from domestic issues and protests regarding electoral integrity.
