Consortiums emerge as strategic financial planning tools in Brazil

The consortium system in Brazil is evolving from a simple method for purchasing high-value goods into a strategic tool for medium and long-term financial and asset planning. This shift includes diverse uses such as real estate, vehicles, renovations, debt refinancing, education, health, and business expansion.

In 2025, the consortium system recorded 5.16 million new memberships, representing a 15% increase over 2024 and significantly exceeding the initial 6% projection. Total credits traded reached R$ 500 billion, with 12.76 million active participants as of December.

Emerson Almeida, CEO of Mestre do Consórcio, noted that the product is no longer just an alternative for those unable to secure financing, but a strategic choice for those seeking to organize wealth growth with predictability and without interest payments.
