Constantin Brancusi: MoMA exhibition and cultural commemorations

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York is hosting a major exhibition titled “Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio.” The exhibition focuses on the artist’s studio on Impasse Ronsin in Paris, where he lived and worked for four decades. The display highlights his revolutionary approach to modern sculpture, emphasizing elemental forms and his use of tools like chisels and hammers.

In Romania, cultural events are also honoring the sculptor’s legacy. The Valeriu Butulescu Municipal Library in Petroșani organized “Brancusi – The Sculptor of Infinity,” an event exploring the connections between sculpture, literature, and music. The program featured writer Valeriu Butulescu, who presented a dramatic poem titled “The Golden Bird” to evoke the life and creative universe of the artist.
