Constantin Brâncuși exhibitions held in Iași and Târgu Jiu

In celebration of the Constantin Brâncuși Year, several major art exhibitions are being held in Romania. In Iași, the National Museum Complex Moldova, in partnership with the National Museum of Art of Romania, will present the sculpture ‘Cap de copil’ (Child's Head) for the first time outside of Bucharest. The exhibition, titled ‘Brâncuși la Palat’, is scheduled to run from May 18 to May 24, 2026, at the Palace of Culture.

The Iași exhibition includes additional items from a private collection, such as a bronze fragment from the pedestal of ‘Bird in Space’ and an original love letter signed by the master to Florence Mayer.

Simultaneously, the Constantin Brâncuși National Museum in Târgu Jiu is hosting an interactive media installation titled ‘Te simt și totul e nou’ (I feel you and everything is new). Developed by the Saint Machine collective in collaboration with various artists and programmers, the installation uses digital forms that respond to the voices and gazes of visitors. This project is part of a larger series of exhibitions and public meetings marking the 150th anniversary of Brâncuși's birth, with future events planned for Bucharest, Brașov, and Vienna.
