Constantin Brâncuși sculpture debuts in Iași for SACRUM festival
The Iași Metropolitan Museum hosted the opening of the exhibition ‘Sacred in the Feminine: From the Creation of the World to Brâncuși’s Prayer’ as part of the SACRUM – Iași Art Festival. Organized by the Archdiocese of Iași in collaboration with the National Museum of Art of Romania, the event featured the sculpture ‘Prayer’ by Constantin Brâncuși.
This marks the first time the artwork has left the National Museum of Art to be displayed in Iași. The exhibition aims to honor the 150th anniversary of the sculptor's birth, creating a connection between religious heritage and modern artistic expression through works that explore the theme of the sacred and the female representation in art.
